Zach Fleming uses more than two decades of financial services experience and the same passion for serving others that initially prompted him to become a police officer to help his clients work toward their retirement goals with well-thought-out strategies.
He owes his protector personality to growing up in a Navy family that saw his jet fighter-flying Dad deployed with carrier groups on the other side of the world for much of his childhood and had him assume the role of “man of the house” for his Mom and three sisters at a young age.
Zach began his adult life as a sworn police officer in Norfolk, Virginia. After completing his Bachelor of Science degree, he went on to earn his Master’s degree in British Columbia, Canada where he also worked as a Research and Policy Analyst for the Vancouver Police Department, consultant to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and taught university research methods and statistics courses.
He returned to the US to put his education and analytical skills to work helping families at BB&T, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch and Nationwide Financial before founding Fleming Financial Partners, LLC, an independent financial planning firm.
As a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® designee from the College of Financial Planning, Zach specializes in helping folk either already in or transitioning into retirement save on taxes and mitigate the risks unique to the preservation and distribution phase of their financial lives through prudent income planning rooted in math and science.
