Mark R. Cordner, LUTCF, FSS, CLTC, RFC, CRPC is the Managing Member of Golden Years Financial, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisory firm and president of Golden Years Insurance Services. He is a well-known coordinator of insurance and retirement plans in Southern Nevada and has been active in insurance and financial services since 1992. He has three professional objectives: creating tax-advantaged income his clients can never outlive; making that income tax-free (as much as legally possible); and, protecting that income from a variety of very real, but often unrecognized risks, such as Long-Term Care expenses and Sequence of Returns. He does this by leading a team of specialists, networked around the nation.
Mr. Cordner speaks publicly and has taught financial principles and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) to various groups, including professional peers, estate planning attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, and even the youth of Boys and Girls Town USA. He is affiliated with The National
Society of Financial Educators.
An avid reader with a strong commitment to continuing education, Mr. Cordner has earned, among other titles Financial Service Specialist (FSS), Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF), Certified Long-Term Care Consultant, and Registered Financial Consultant (RFC), and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) — designations that required training in business continuation planning, executive benefits funding, income replacement, long-term care (i.e. frailty), retirement, pension and estate planning. He has also invested in extensive training to help families of individuals with disabilities address their unique needs.
Mr. Cordner has been recognized nationally for his client service and business achievements and has served as a leader in many organizations, particularly in the Special Needs community. He has qualified multiple times for “Top of the Table” of the Million Dollar Round Table – a premier organization representing the top .25% of 1% of insurance advisors internationally. Mr. Cordner is married to Naomi Edwards, a former kindergarten teacher, and they have three children: Joshua, Caleb, and Christy Joy. He is the son of a retired military chaplain and enjoys reading, international film, quiet beaches, and traveling with his family.
