Jim Tassoni currently serves as the managing partner of the Armor Agency which specializes in assisting retirees and pre-retirees with innovative wealth preservation, tax and retirement income distribution strategies. Prior to founding the Armor Agency, Jim was the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Durand Capital Partners, Jim’s primary responsibilities were portfolio management and equity research for the Durand Capital Partners All-Cap Equity Strategy which included separate accounts and a mutual fund.
Jim, alongside his wife Logan who ran operations for the firm, successfully built Durand Capital from a friends and family seed capital fund into a firm that managed north of $300 million in assets prior to the sale at the end of 2019. Prior to founding Durand Capital Partners in 2012, his decade plus of investment experience includes positions as an analyst, consultant, and portfolio manager with WCM Investment Management, Morgan Stanley and UBS Financial Services, Inc.
Jim earned his B.S. from Michigan State University and is currently a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. His All-Cap Strategy has been recognized in numerous publications including Pensions and InvestmentsMagazine as a top performer in the U.S. Equity space.
