Jed Monsen is a lifelong resident of Utah, Jed grew up in Fillmore, where he learned to love small-town living and the closeness of tight-knit communities. Jed’s wife and three boys are the most important people in his life.
He and his family love to get snow cones on the first day of summer and ice cream all year-round, and they frequently hike and explore new areas around the state. Jed describes himself as a fan of the Utah Jazz (even though they constantly disappoint him) and all things tech. Much to the chagrin of his wife, if Jed isn’t watching basketball, he’s probably glued to a golf event, wishing he could play like the pros.
Jed got into planning after a 10-year career in banking and held various roles, but most importantly he was the Information Security Officer (ISO) for the majority of his career — an experience that taught him the importance of managing risk and protecting assets. After getting his life and annuity licensing, Jed started Today Financial Agency to carry this mindset over into planning. He constantly seeks out ways to protect and prepare his clients for retirement.
Jed’s goal is to get you ready for tomorrow by working and enacting plans today. He has learned that in retirement it’s not your assets that make a successful retirement, it’s the reliable income that those assets can generate! While most agents and advisors focus on the accumulation phase (growing assets), Jed decided to differentiate Today Financial by focusing on the decumulation phase (spending assets) aka: Retirement Income Planning.
