I grew up in the financial services industry having a financial advisor for a father but didn’t know that I was going to follow in his footsteps until after my first year of college. After switching from Music to Business at Northwestern College (now the University of Northwestern Saint Paul) I now needed a new internship…what better place than to go work for my dad. At that point I decided that I was going to go into financial services.
In the Spring of 2005 I finished up my internship while studying for my insurance license and was licensed by graduation! My first year and a half went by very quickly, at which point I decided to try my hand at a larger firm downtown Minneapolis. It was a great experience, but also it solidified in my mind that nothing beats working with family. So, after finishing my training as an Insurance Specialist, I left after my first year and went back to work at my father’s firm.
I have been here full-time for over 8 years as the in-house Insurance Specialist. As such, I handle everything from simple term life insurance applications to Executive Carve Out plans to Business Buy/Sell plans and even Retirement Income planning…meaning, I have a broad range of expertise. Another area of planning that I specialize in is helping people make the tough decisions regarding providing care for themselves or a loved one through long term care planning.
My favorite things to do outside of work typically revolve around family: I have a loving wife 3 kids and a dog! I enjoy reading, Martial Arts and playing with my kiddos.
If you have further questions or would like to meet, I appreciate the opportunity and would love to talk with you!
